After the work on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pschatzmann.ch\/home\/2022\/11\/23\/pitch-shifting-with-the-arduino-audio-tools\/\">Pitch Shifting<\/a><\/strong> I realized that we can easily resample <strong>using a float based step size<\/strong> to achieve any resampling factor and determine the new values with the help of <strong>linear interpolation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This is cool because we can now <strong>speed up<\/strong> or <strong>slow down<\/strong> the audio <strong>by any rate<\/strong>!<br \/>\nAnd the beauty of this: I could considerably reduce the code size and complexity of the implementation.<\/p>\n<h2>Example Arduino Sketch<\/h2>\n<pre><code>#include \"AudioTools.h\"\n\nuint16_t sample_rate=44100;\nuint8_t channels = 1;                                      \nSineWaveGenerator&lt;int16_t&gt; sineWave(32000);               \nGeneratedSoundStream&lt;int16_t&gt; sound(sineWave);             \nResampleStream&lt;int16_t&gt; resample(sound);\nCsvStream&lt;int16_t&gt; out(Serial); \nStreamCopy copier(out, resample);                        \n\n\/\/ Arduino Setup\nvoid setup(void) {  \n  \/\/ Open Serial \n  Serial.begin(115200);\n  AudioLogger::instance().begin(Serial, AudioLogger::Warning);\n\n  \/\/ Setup sine wave\n  sineWave.begin(channels, sample_rate, N_B4);\n\n  \/\/ define resample\n  auto resample_cfg = resample.defaultConfig();\n  resample_cfg.step_size = 0.51;\n  resample_cfg.channels = channels;\n  resample.begin(resample_cfg); \n\n  \/\/ Define CSV Output\n  auto config = out.defaultConfig();\n  config.channels = channels;\n  out.begin(config);\n}\n\n\/\/ Arduino loop - copy sound to out \nvoid loop() {\n  copier.copy();\n}\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>After the initialization you can change the rate at any time by calling <code>resample.setStepSize(size)<\/code>.
